This is what I do! I manage social media accounts for businesses. I primarily use Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Linkedin and Google+. I collaborate with the businesses to communicate, educate and provide value for their audiences while building their relationships through a social media presence.

I wasn’t always a Social Media Virtual Assistant. I started out communicating long ago while waitressing, eventually moving on to leasing apartments and getting an education in education. I went to college to be a teacher. But all of my previous employment opportunities gave me opportunities to practice selling and building relationships with people. As social media became a “thing”, many of my employers put me in charge of it. Then one day years later I decided I really loved it and did well with it so I sought out an internship with a company highly regarded for their social media management and ran with it. Now years later I love what I do! I love learning the ins and outs of different businesses. I love being able to be professional yet also creative. I love being a person invested in someone's business enough to analyze their strategy but also being someone who is not too closely invested and can look at their strategy from an objective standpoint.
